I’d like to be a Formula One driver. Basically I like driving very VERY fast but you can’t do that on our roads so the track beckons.

There have been a couple of woman F1 drivers but they’ve never been as good as the men so I’ve always fancied giving it a go. Do you like F1? What did you think to the race yesterday?

Good question – briefly I worked for a company writing software (Java, databases, Linux serves, MP4 streaming) and I’m also interested in promoting science to politicians and the media. So I’d probably work in one of those three areas – much of my work as a scientist is computer programming and I still get a buzz when I’ve written several thousand lines of code and it does what you want .. it’s quite a challenge often to take abstract ideas and code them into reality in a program abd even better when it actually does what you want.

I would be a violinist. I do a lot of violin playing with my string quartet (www.rusalkaquartet.com) and various orchestras.

So I would be a musician.
