A nucleus if found in eukaryotic cells (not bacteria) and contains the DNA of a cell, which are arranged in chromosomes.

Good chatting to you earlier, englishmccool! Which kind of nucleus do you mean, dude?

DNA, cells, atoms etc all have them. They’re core to how they behave 🙂

The thing at the centre of the atom. The nucleus is tiny compared to the size of the atom about 1/100,000 the size but it contains 99.95% of the mass of the atom. Bizarrely 99% of this mass is in the form of the energy that binds the quarks together inside the protons and neutrons that make up the nucleus – we are actually made of quantum mechanical energy and little else….

The nucleus of an atom is where the protons and neutrons are, with the electrons orbiting around them.

The nucleus of a cell is where DNA is kept.
