The earth is 4.5 billion years old, with the sun 30 million years older. This info was determined by radiodating.

      Hiya el1234 🙂

It’s a whopping 4.5 billion years old. That’s even older than Bruce Forsyth 🙂

About 4.5 billion years – so this is about 1/3 of the present lifetime of the universe and about the same age as the sun since the planets were formed from the leftover gas and dust that formed the sun… the sun will go out in about 5 billion years and take the earth with it 🙁

Our best estimates put the earth at about 4 billion years old, and the universe at about 14 billion years old.
