Believe it or not there is an online calculator for this (http://www.onlineconversion.com/dogyears.htm).
The whole 7 years thing is not accurate as dogs age faster in the first few years, then slow down a bit. It can also depend upon the breed of dog and whether you have a pure-bred or a mutt

Answer to your question: 305 years

Apparently the simple formula – 1 dog year = 7 human is too simple !!! The received wisdom is that it is
10.5 dog years per human year for the first 2 years, then 4 dog years per human year for each year after.
So 73 human years is 15 dog years…

      15, I think. That’s a random question… and I like it!

      Hi Bebo,

I am afraid I know nothing about dog years, but I found this website which might help, it is a converter for dog and human years. It says:

Note: It is a common belief that 1 human year is equal to 7 dog years. That is not very accurate, since dogs reach adulthood within the first couple of years. The formula used above is from a canine expert and is a bit more accurate. (as accurate as one can judge these things)

The formula is: 10.5 dog years per human year for the first 2 years, then 4 dog years per human year for each year after.

      Here is the site:

      http://www.onlineconversion.com/dogyears.htm

It comes up with the number 15 dog years for 73 human years
