No – apart from being a mum! I usually try to chill out in the evening!

Hiya riggsy. Yeah, I have a science slot on BBC Radio York- bringing science to the people of York and North Yorkshire.

I talk about some proper random science stuff. I spoke about the world cup when it started and how teams can gain a tactical scientific advantage by wearing the right colour kit or how to kick the ball perfectly. Tomorrow I’ll be talking about Wimbledon and the technology they use there called ‘Hawk-eye’ which predicts if the ball will be in or out.

It’s a great thing to do and it’s been very well received on the radio 🙂

Yes a couple – in charge of teaching in the Physics department at my university at UCL and running a research group – the latter is more about admin than science. I also had two years out of being a scientist and wrote software/led a team of software developers for a company that was sending mp4 films around Europe via satellite..

Hi Riggsy, it was good to talk to you the other day on the chat!

I do some professional violin playing, but not very much. Science is more than a full time job really!
