I play quite a few sports: tennis, squash, football (in fact this weekend is the annual 5-a-side “Bubble Chamber” competition – this has been going since the early 1970s and is annual competition between all the UK particle physics groups), snooker and at the moment I’m spending a lot of time trying to get my golf handicap down to a sensible number (it’s presently somewhere between 14 and 16)…

As a snooker player, have you worked out yet why kicks exist? I always seem to get them! Also, is there any scientific reason why my golf ball seems to be attracted to trees and bunkers!
